-The Highground is still holding the Ride to Remember as they do every year in memory of those we have lost.

This year’s activities, however, will be different due to the pandemic. While they encourage the safety of all, they also know that people are passionate about the Honor Ride and will want to get out and ride anyway. They hope you will consider supporting this year’s ride and their mission to Honor, Educate, and Heal, by signing up for the ride for the region you’re closest to and donating your registration fee even if you don’t feel comfortable participating. Once you sign up, you will be able to contact the Regional Coordinator who can give you specific details about how their region will be approaching the ride while addressing concerns due to the coronavirus and implementing necessary safety procedures. If you choose to ride, you will leave from your location from home or your ride leader’s designation, and ride to The Highground. Registration includes a Patch or Rocker for both you and your passenger, if you have one.

These items will be available for you at the park at a designated table. They do ask that you observe the social distancing guidelines by staying 6 feet apart from others. Hand sanitizer will be available. There will be no ceremony this year, however, the names of the fallen who were killed or missing in action will be read over loudspeakers from 8am to 5pm to honor their memory. They encourage you to walk the grounds and visit the tributes. While they know these times are tough, also know that the sacrifices these brave men and women have made need to be honored, recognized, and reflected upon so they will never be forgotten.
