According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Damon G. Mueller is charged with recklessly endangering safety, recklessly endangering safety, and hit-and-run causing great bodily harm, according to charges filed on June 20th.
Investigators say Mueller and the victim had been arguing outside the home on Ferge Street. Mueller reportedly told investigators he struck the man, then drove off.
Tire tracks at the scene and security camera footage from a nearby business pointed to a hit-and-run. The victim was found struggling to breathe. Doctors diagnosed him with a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and broken ribs.
Muller returns to court on June 2nd. He faces more than three decades in prison on all counts if found guilty at trial. He remains jailed on a $30,000 cash bond.
