Neillsville Fire Department Responds to One Vehicle Accident

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident early Monday morning.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, the accident occurred near Pineview Road on Highway 95 in the Township of Levis. When they arrived, they found the vehicle in the ditch and the driver was deceased.

The Department assisted with removing the vehicle from the ditch and with traffic control. They received assistance from the Neillsville Ambulance Service, Clark County Sheriff’s Department, and the County Coroner. The driver’s name, nor further details of the crash, have not been released at this time.

The Neillsville Fire Department also responded to another call Monday morning. Around 4:30am, they received a call of a fire having rekindled. This was a fire the department had responded to the night before that had been caused by a lightning strike.

They were on scene for a couple hours and received mutual aid from the Granton Fire Department.
