Neillsville Takes 2nd In 4x100m Relay At Special Olympics Wisconsin Summer Games/Other Results

More than 1,200 athletes representing 100 local programs from across the state competed at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater this past weekend at the 2025 Special Olympics Wisconsin Summer Games.  

Several athletes from our area competed in the Summer Games including Gregory Schmidt who took 7th in the mini javelin throw, Daina Shilts 2nd in the 100m run, Kolin Schmitz 6th in the 100m run and Gregory, Daina, Kolin and Bo Fravert took 2nd in the 4x100m relay (pictured).  Conner Breitung did qualify as part of the 4x100 relay but was not be able to attend.  Justin Kapusta was their coach for the weekend, filling in for Dean Glaze.

This is the third consecutive Summer Games hosted on the campus of UW-Whitewater.
