Neillsville Girls Basketball Season Ends At Sectional Final/State Girls Basketball Field Set

The Neillsville girls basketball season came to end on Saturday in Wisconsin Dells as they lost to Cuba City 67-52 in a Division 4 Sectional Final. The Warriors trailed by 10 at the half and couldn't get the deficit under more than 5 points in the second half and then Cuba City pulled away at the end making 14 of 15 free throws in the second half for the win. The Warriors were led by Sydney Subke with 20 points. Madi Davel added 10. Senior Paris Opelt ended her career with 9 points. Neillsville ends their season at 23-5. Cuba City will make their 17th appearance at State.
The WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament will be held this coming Thursday thru Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay..
