Kuhn's Big Night Leads Neillsville To Sectional Semi-Final Win/Other Area Scores

Neillsville sophomore Jessica Kuhn poured in a team high 16 points on Thursday night, leading the Warriors to a 52-38 Division 4 Sectional Semi-Final win over Westfield.  Westfield came out hot from the outside, hitting on 5 straight 3 pointers to take an early lead.  But Neillsville kept chipping away, thanks to field goals by Olivia Langreck and Emerson Ormond off the bench, and took their first lead with about 3:53 left in the first half and never gave it up.  The Warriors outscored the Pioneers 31-19 in the second half.  Kuhn scored 11 second half points while freshman Madi Davel scored all 8 of her points in the second half.  Paris Opelt was also in double figures for the Warriors, finishing with 13 points.  Neillsville (23-4) will face Cuba City (23-4) in a Sectional Final at Wisconsin Dells High School on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.  You can hear all the action on 92.7 FM WPKG.
