Champions Crowned In Girls Softball

3 new champions were crowned on Saturday at the 37th WIAA Girls State Softball Tournament in Madison while one team defended their title.Chippewa Falls won the Division 1 championship by holding off a late rally from Sun Prairie, 4-3.
Last year's runner-up Baldwin-Woodville captured the Division 2 crown with a 7-0 shutout over Monroe.
2011 runner-up Pacelli turn the tables of defending champion Poynette to win the Division 3 title with an 8-3 victory.
Oakfield successfully defended its title to win its second straight Division 4 championship with late-inning heroics to defeat Tigerton 5-4.
