Neillsville To Host Sectional Wrestling On Saturday

The Neillsville Fieldhouse will play host to Division 2 Sectional Wrestling action this Saturday.

Schedule:

8:30 North Elementary doors open for Teams

9:30 a.m. Weigh-ins-Middle School Gym

10:00 a.m. (Immediately following weigh-ins) Coaches Meeting in High School Cafeteria

10:55 a.m. National Anthem

11:00 a.m. Wrestling begins

3 Mats:

Option A

Round 1 Quarterfinals (3 Mats) 1.5-2 hours

Round 2 Semi-Finals and Consolation Rd1 (3 Mats) 1.5-2

Round 3 Consolation Semi-Finals (3 mats)

30 Minute Lunch Break

Round 4 5th Place Matches (3 Mats)

Round 5 1st and 3rd place matches (2 Mats, must be wrestled at the same time) Assistant Referee in 1st place match

Round 6 2nd place wrestlebacks as needed, Assistant Referee in all matches

Officials:

Head Official: Tony Antczak, Chuck Hile, Lynn Isensee, Matt Pronschinske

Admissions:

Tickets will not be available at the door.

Two tickets per competing wrestler will be allowed to be pre-sold.

Covid Protocols:

Masks must be worn at all times by coaches, athletes and spectators while in the building.

Social distance must be observed.

No Concessions:

No concessions will be available to spectators. Spectators may leave the building and eat off school

grounds. No eating of food in the school by spectators. We do have water bottle filling stations

available in the fieldhouse lobby.

Awards:

All awards will be presented in the Fieldhouse at the conclusion of the Sectional meet.

The team with the highest team score for the day will advance to the team state tournament.

First and second place teams will receive awards. Individuals in each weight class will be

presented medals on a delayed basis during the championship round.
