NEILLSVILLE/GREENWOOD WINS REGIONAL

The WIAA Regional Wrestling Tournaments were held around the area yesterday. At the field house in Neillsville, the Neillsville/Greenwood wrestlers punched their ticket to team sectionals on Tuesday night at Baldwin-Woodville High School by winning the Regional with 266 points. Medford was 2nd with 209 points, Abbotsford /Colby finished 3rd with 157 points and Stanley/Boyd Thorp was 4th with 136 points. The Neillsville/Greenwood Wrestling Boosters are offering a spectator bus to Tuesday night?s team sectional in Baldwin-Woodville. 285 - Tyler Hartung - 2nd
Several other regionals were also held around the area yesterday as well. In Division 1, Wausau West and Wisconsin Rapids are headed to team sectionals, in Division 3 Edgar got by Stratford by 3 and a half points to advance to team sectionals and Cadott was also a regional champion as well.
