NEILLSVILLE GIRLS BB IMPROVE TO 11-0

The Neillsville Warrior girls basketball team improved to 11-0 with a 39-26 win over Auburndale last night. The game, featuring two top teams in the area, was very low scoring in the first half with Neillsville holding a 4-2 edge at the end of 1 quarter and a 9-8 halftime lead. The Warriors started to get things going in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Apaches 12-6 to take 21-14 lead into the 4th quarter where they outscored Auburndale 18-12 to make the final 39-26. Jenny Lindner of Neillsville led all scorers with 15 points, 13 in the second half, Sami Pfieffer added 8. Kelly Tomfohrde led Auburndale with 9 points. Neillsville is back in conference action on Thursday night when they host the Colby Hornets at the Fieldhouse.
