NEILLSVILLE TAKES OVER FIRST IN ECC

The Neillsville girls basketball team is now all alone in first place in the Eastern Cloverbelt after beating Mfld Columbus last night 55-19. Neillsville (9-0, 6-0) used another fine defensive effort limiting the Dons (3-7, 2-5) to just 6 second half points. The Warriors were led by Jenny Lindner with 15 points, Corina Craig added 9 and Sami Pfieffer had 8. The win also kept "The Sword" in Neillsville. Neillsville's win combined with Owen-Withee's loss to Greenwood puts Neillsville on top all alone in the Eastern Cloverbelt. Neillsville will be at Owen-Withee on Friday night.Eastern Cloverbelt Standings:
