NEILLSVILLE GIRLS SOFTBALL WINS SWORD GAME

The "Sword" will be in Neillsville for at least a couple of more weeks after the Neillsville girls softball team downed Marshfield Columbus yesterday 23-1 in 5 innings. The "Sword" is a traveling trophy that goes to the winner of matchups between Neillsville and Marshfield Columbus. The baseball teams will meet on May 18th for the "Sword". In yesterdays softball game, Neillsville pounded out 22 hits led by Brianna Wegner, Tabitha Huth and Caitlin Pavlac who all went 3 for 5. Dessa Karl had 4 RBI's and Cassandra Craig had 7 strikeouts in picking up the win.
