WIN STREAK AT 40 IN ECC FOR NEILLSVILLE GIRLS

The Neillsville Warrior girls won their 40th in a row in the Eastern Cloverbelt last night as they downed Owen-Withee 54-36. Owen-Withee (5-3, 4-2) came out strong in the first quarter leading 17-14. But, Neillsville (7-1, 6-0) went to a man-to-man defense and outscored the Blackhawks 40-19 the rest of the way including 13-0 in the 2nd quarter. Neillsville was led by Caitlyn Courtney with 20pts and Angela Meshnick with 10. Amy Junk led Owen-Withee with 12. Neillsville will look to extend their streak to 41 when they travel to Colby on Friday night.
