NEILLSVILLE BOYS IMPROVE TO 5-1 IN EASTERN CLOVERBELT

The Neillsville Warrior boys basketball team got a big win last night as they beat Colby 63-54 to stay tied with Spencer for second place in the Eastern Cloverbelt. The game was a close one throughout as Colby led 12 - 10 after one and 26-25 at the half. The second half was just as close with Neillsville leading after the third quarter 40-39 and then the Warriors hit their free-throws down the stretch to win by 9. Tyler Ehlen and Cain Trunkel led the way for the Warriors with 14 points each while Mitchell Erickson added 11. Colby was led by Zach Zettler with 13. The Hornets converted only 4 of 16 from the free-throw line, while Neillsville was 19 for 31. Neillsville has now won 4 in a row and they will be back in action next Tuesday when they host Mosinee at the Fieldhouse.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
