EDGAR DOMINATES REGIS IN DIVISION 6 CHAMPIONSHIP

The Edgar Wildcats showed they are the best team in Division 6 yesterday as they dominated the Eau Claire Regis Ramblers 46-7. Senior quarterback Justin Sinz passed for 179 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Wildcats finish 14-0. The Ramblers finished 12-2. They came within moments of being shut out yesterday, but senior quarterback Hayden Hougen scored on a 1-yard plunge with 5 seconds left.
Sinz threw TD passes on 2 of Edgar's first three plays of the second half. One was a 59-yard toss to senior Derek Durkee. The other was a 42-yard strike to junior Dakota Heidmann.
The Wildcats outscored opponents 651-20 on the season, including 212-14 in five playoff games. They also recorded shutouts in 11 of their 14 games. It's the 5th Football State Championship for the Wildcats.

Division 4 - Big Foot (14-0) 42, Kewaunee (13-1) 13 - Senior Michael Walker rushed for 255 yards and set a WIAA Division 4 state finals record with five touchdowns.
