Neillsville Girls Take Sole Possession Of First Place

Neillsville and Loyal came into Tuesday night's matchup tied for first in the Eastern Cloverbelt Conference, and it was Neillsville who came away with the 49-21 win to take sole possession of the lead. Neillsville, now 7-0 in the ECC, led 25-17 at the half but then outscored the Hounds 24-4 in the second half to pull away.
Loyal, now 6-1 in the conference was led by Savannah Schley who scored 13 points. Neillsville got a season high 16 points from Terren Stockheimer, and Bella Opelt added 12 points.
Neillsville will host Gilman on Friday night while Loyal will be at Owen-Withee.
