MCDONELL MAKES FIRST TRIP TO WIAA STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Chippewa Falls McDonell (10-3) makes its inaugural appearance in the State final this Thursday morning when then take on defending Division 7 champion Burlington Catholic Central at 10 am. The Macks celebrate their first experience in the finals following their 27-8 victory over Gilman at Level 4. They finished third in the Marawood Conference this season. Prior to joining the WIAA, the Macks won a WISAA championship in 1989 and finished runner-up in 1967 and 1982. Defending champion Catholic Central (12-1) will make its third appearance in a State final.
