UW EAU CLAIRE VOLLEYBALL DROPS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH TO WHITEWATER

The 18th-ranked UW-Eau Claire's women volleyball team fell short againstseventh-ranked UW-Whitewater 3-0 Saturday in the WIAC Tournament Championship.
UW-Whitewater, which has won 61 of the last 77 matches, handed the Blugolds their first loss in 12 matches. The win gives the Warhawks their third WIAC Tournament title in the past four years as well as their 13th championship overall. UW-Whitewater won the WIAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Blugolds (30-7)
will now wait for Monday's 62-team pairings to the NCAA Division III Championship.
The first regional game will be held Thursday, November 12.
