The 48th Girls Volleyball State Tournament Preview - Division 2

The 48th Girls Volleyball State Tournaments will be held this Saturday, Nov. 7 at different sites for each division. Here's a preview of the Division 2 Field.....

Division 2 - Semifinals
#1 Luxemburg-Casco (13-0) vs. #4 St. Croix Falls (13-0) - 1 p.m.
#2 Platteville vs. #3 Lakeside Lutheran (11-4) - 4 p.m.
Championship - 7:30 p.m.

LAST YEAR - Luxemburg-Casco cruised to the Division 2 championship with a 3-0 victory over McFarland in the championship game.

Defending champion Luxemburg-Casco is the top seed in the bracket. The Spartans qualify for the third time in the past four seasons. Second-seeded Edgewood had to drop out of the tournament because of COVID-19, so Platteville, who Edgewood defeated in three sets in the Lake Mills Sectional final will take their place. Third-seeded Lakeside Lutheran returns to the State Tournament for the fourth time overall and for the first time since winning the Division 2 championship in 2017. St. Croix Falls, the fourth seed, is a first-time qualifier to the State Tournament field.
