New Record Low Score Set At Neillsville Men's Golf Invitational

The 53rd Annual Neillsville Men’s Invitational was held this past weekend at the Neillsville Country Club.  Teams of two competed in 5 different flights and a Championship flight.  It’s a best ball format, with the best score of the two golfers carded for each hole.  

The team of Dom Glassbrenner and Nathan Schmidt won 5th Flight with a 36 hole total of 162, 4 strokes better than Mitch Jewett and Zach Dahlke.  Braylon Boyer and Bryce Erickson finished 3rd. 

In 4th Flight the team of Dan Nelson and Nick Nelson finished first with a 149 total.  Cory Schofield and Dylan Spiegel finished 2 strokes back while Tyler and Ryan Ehlen finished 3rd.

3rd Flight winners were Braden Trunkel and Caden Ehlers who finished with a score of 143, 4 strokes better than Riley Gieger and Brandon Bell.  Dean and Kent Hinker finished 3rd. 

In 2nd Flight, the team of Ed Stumpner and Jake Bennett took first finishing with a score of 141, 9 strokes better than the teams of Chad Bogdonovich and Joe Tofferi,  Dean and Luke Bogdonovich, and Nic Kuhn and Nick Peterson. 

The 1st Flight winners were Ricky Nelson and Jordan Klingbeil who finished with a 134 total, 5 strokes better than Eric Sigurdson and David Giles.  Tim and Jordan Brussow finished 3rd. 

The Championship Flight saw a new record low score as the team of John Klein and Tucker Johnson shot a 19 under 125, which is a new Men’s Invitational record by 2 strokes.  Mike and Dan Schield finished 6 strokes back in second place.  There was a 3-way tie for 3rd with the teams of Derek Krejci and Aaron Wanish, Jason Johnson and Matt Horel and Ryan Hediger and Joe Kunze, all finishing 9 strokes back.
