Loyal And Columbus Catholic Baseball Teams Heading To State!/Other Scores

The Loyal Greyhound baseball team is heading to State for the first time in their school's history after winning the Bruce Sectional Championship on Tuesday. The Hounds shut out Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran in the Sectional Semi-Final, 7-0 and then, behind a 12 strikeout performance from Adam Kautzer, they shut out Mellen 7-0 in the Final.  The Hounds, now 16-8, will play in a D4 State Semi-Final on Tuesday morning at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.  

Columbus Catholic will make their 2nd appearance at State for baseball after winning the Rosholt Sectional Championship on Tuesday.  The Dons beat Athens in the Semi-Final 12-1 in the 5 innings and then downed Rib Lake 15-5 in six innings in the Final.  Columbus Catholic will also play in a D4 State Semi-Final on Tuesday morning at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.
