Loyal Native Participating in USA Wrestling's Top-Tier U.S. Open Championship

The 2026 U.S. Open Championships, one of USA Wrestling’s top-tier events held annually, is underway at the Expo at World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This year’s U.S. Open will feature tournaments across seven different age groups, including 14 distinct national tournaments.

This year’s event will also feature multiple national championships and World Team Trials.  In the Senior men’s freestyle division, Loyal native Stephen Buchanan is the No. 1 seed at 97 kg.

The Senior men’s freestyle tournament takes place today and tomorrow.   The 2026 U.S. Open Championships will be live streamed by FloWrestling.
