Neillsville Rec Department Football Olympics And Fling Into Fall Disc Golf Results

Over 40 boys and girls participated in Football Olympics, which was held on October 10th and was sponsored by the Neillsville Recreation Department. Trophies and medals were awarded to all. The contest includes punting, passing, kicking, speed and agility events. The highest score of the day went to Kayson Kren with a score of 40 out of 50 possible points.  The following results were noted:

6 year olds

The Rec. Dept. would like to thank the members of the Neillsville Community who volunteered to assist with the event: Larry Hoeser, Deb Perkl, Judy Lindner, Michelle Pickett, Tammy Matson, Dale Erickson, Dani Kopp, Craig Bender, Callie Craig, Trevor Hart, and Maddie Shaw. Also, thank you to the other adult volunteers who made the event run smoothly.

The Neillsville Recreation Department also held their  “Fifth Annual, Fling into Fall Disc Golf Tournament”  on Saturday, October 11th at Schuster Park. The event was part of the Neillsville Chamber of Commerce, Autumn Harvest and was co-sponsored by the Schmitty’s on Main, the Neillsville Chamber and Neillsville Pavilion (WCCN AM & PM). This was the first official introduction of the 4 new Disc Golf holes which are located by Mount Moldy. With the removal of hole 6,due to player safety. The Schuster Park Disc Golf Course now has a full fledge 18 Hole Disc Golf Course.

The event was a solid success garnering 15 competitors. The low score of the day was a 50 thrown by Neillsville native Aaron Watton and Josh Schultz. A playoff proceeds and Aaron Watton would win a throw off. The other Tournament results were as follows:
