The 48th Girls Volleyball State Tournament Preview - Division 1

The 48th Girls Volleyball State Tournaments will be held this Saturday, Nov. 7 at different sites for each division. Here's a preview of the Division 1 Field.....

Division 1 at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln
Semifinals
#1 Hamilton (16-1) vs. #4 Sauk Prairie (23-5) - 1 p.m.
#2 River Falls (12-0) vs. #3 Burlington (17-0) - 4 p.m.
Championship - 7:30 p.m.

Last year Arrowhead won the Division 1 title with a 3-0 sweep of Oconomowoc in the championship match.

Hamilton, the #1 seed, returns to the State Tournament for the first time since the Chargers only other appearance at State in 1986. Second-seeded River Falls qualifies for the fifth year in a row, which accounts for the total number of appearances for the Wildcats. The most notable of their previous experiences was a runner-up finish in 2017. Third-seeded Burlington qualifies for the State Tournament for the seventh straight season and for the 12th time overall. The Demons have won four State championships. Fourth-seeded Sauk Prairie earns a berth in the State Tournament for the second time and for the first time in Division 1. The Eagles qualified in Division 2 in 2009.
