Luepke Signs Extension With Cowboys
Thursday, September 4th, 2025 -- 8:06 AM

The Dallas Cowboys have secured one of their most versatile offensive players, fullback Hunter Luepke, with a two-year contract extension worth up to $7.5 million, including $5 million in fully guaranteed money.
The deal, finalized just before the 2025 NFL season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, ensures Luepke remains with the team through the 2027 season.
Luepke, a Spencer native and former undrafted free agent from North Dakota State, has carved out a unique role as a “Swiss Army knife” for the Cowboys. Over his first two seasons, he has showcased his ability to contribute as a fullback, running back, tight end, and special teams player. The two-year extension, valued at up to $7.5 million, makes Luepke the third-highest-paid fullback in the NFL on a per-year basis, with an average annual salary of $3.75 million.
