Hub City Gymnasts Compete At AAU Nationals

A group of 13 athletes from Hub City Gymnastics competed at the AAU Nationals last week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Each of the gymnasts from Marshfield and the surrounding area earned top-10 all-around finishes in their respective age groups and levels.

Kollyns Wenzel had the best finish for Hub City, taking second in the Junior A Level 8 division. She placed second in each event, the vault, the uneven bars, the balance beam and the floor exercise. 

Alyvia Dietsche placed third in the all-around in the Junior B Open division. The Marshfield High School student finished second in the vault,  tied for second in the balance beam, third in the floor and fourth in the uneven bars. 

Lexi Opelt qualified for the AAU Junior Olympic Games, which will be held in Houston from July 28-31 after taking sixth in the Level 7 competition.

Other results from the Hub City Gymnastics team were Emerie Bredl-Hryndej, Emilee Dietsche, Esmae Fox, Skylar Hale, Evan Hoogesteger, Tevyn Lang, Zoey Langreck, Taelyn Peper, Willa Schofield and Meg Tichy.
