Magnuson Earns NCHA Star of the Week Selection

Freshman goalie Sydney Magnuson of Marian University women's hockey team has earned an NCHA Star of the Week selection.

Magnuson, a Neillsville native,  led Marian to a dramatic overtime victory over Aurora to finish a three-point weekend for the Sabres.  Magnuson made 22 saves for a .957 save percentage in the first Marian victory over Aurora since 2019.  The lone goal she allowed came while Aurora was on a power play. 

Black River Falls native, Zowie Hunter is also on the Marian roster. 

Marian hits the road for Lawrence University on Friday where another Neillsville alum, Lizzy Jorgensen plays.
