Columbus Catholic Girls Volleyball Team Heading To State Championship Game!

The Columbus Catholic Dons girls volleyball team is making their first ever trip to the State Girls Volleyball Tournament and will now play in their first ever State Championship after beating Newman Catholic earlier today 19-25, 30-28, 25,23, 25-20 in a Division 5 semi-final at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
Columbus Catholic (26-15) was led by Shelby Spata with 18 kills, Aubrey Waldhauser added 10. Spata also had 28 digs. Alayna Egle led the Dons with 20 assists and Sophie Wilczek added 15 assists. Waldhauser also had 6 service aces.
Columbus Catholic will now face No. 1 seeded Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran (38-4) in the Division 5 State Championship on Saturday morning at 9 am.
