Erickson And Griesbach Make Legion All-State Tournament Team

Two members of the Marshfield Post 54 American Legion baseball team are on the all-state tournament team for this year. 

Owen Griesbach and Bryce Erickson both made the all tournament team for the state tournament that was held last week in Wisconsin Rapids.  The Blue Devils finished the tournament 1-2, and were eliminated in the third round. 

Eau Claire won the state tournament, with DePere finishing second, and both of those teams will play this week at the Great Lakes regional tournament in Carol Stream, Illinois.  The regional begins on Wednesday, and Eau Claire plays Barrington, Illinois in the first round, while DePere meets the host Carol Stream squad.

The other teams in the regional at Midland, Michigan; Lancaster, Ohio; Evansville, Indiana; and Owensboro, Kentucky.  The regional winner advances to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina, August 15-20.
