Two New Coaches At Marshfield High School

Marshfield High School is announcing the return of Matt Immerfall as the Boys Head Hockey Coach. With experience and a deep passion for the sport, Coach Immerfall is set to lead the team in the upcoming season. 

Coach Immerfall previously served as the Head Coach from 2006 to 2009, where he made a significant impact on the team. Over the past decade, he has remained deeply involved with hockey at the youth level, demonstrating his dedication to developing young talent.

A former Tiger hockey player himself from 1996 to 2000, Coach Immerfall still holds two school records: 20 consecutive games with a point and two consecutive games with a hat trick.  In addition to his hockey expertise, Coach Immerfall has also coached varsity baseball and continues to contribute as a defensive football coach for the Tigers. His multi-sport coaching experience brings a unique perspective and valuable skills to the hockey program. 

Coach Immerfall replaces Coach Eric Bowman, who led the Tigers for the past 10 seasons. During Coach Bowman's tenure, the team achieved notable success, including three straight 10-win seasons, the most at any point in school history. His 2018-19 team had an impressive record of 16-8-1.

Marshfield High School is also excited to announce the promotion of Ben Corcoran as the new Boys Track and Field Coach, replacing Coach Randy Hartwig after 30 seasons as a track coach at multiple levels within the district.

Coach Corcoran brings a wealth of experience and a passion for mentoring student-athletes to his new role, promising a bright future for the Tigers.
Coach Corcoran has an impressive background with 14 years of experience in track and field coaching, including two years as a head coach at Auburndale and 12 years as an assistant coach, the last 10 being at MHS. His coaching expertise extends to football programs at both schools,
where he has contributed 12 years of service.

Beyond the field, Coach Corcoran is dedicated to education, currently teaching 5th grade at Madison Elementary School. He also supports the community by providing behind-the-wheel driver education.
