Special Olympics Wisconsin Summer Games Return To Whitewater

Nearly 1,400 cornhole, powerlifting, soccer, tennis, and track & field athletes from across the state will converge on the campus of UW-Whitewater June 6th thru the 8th for the Special Olympics Wisconsin Summer Games.
A Parade of Athletes and Opening Ceremony at Perkins Stadium will welcome all athletes, coaches, family, and fans on Thursday June 6th at 6:30 p.m. Cornhole will begin competition Friday morning June 7th with powerlifting and tennis starting Saturday June 8th. Soccer and track & field will take place over both days of competition Friday and Saturday.
Athletes from Neillsville that will be competing include: Gregory Schmidt in the 4x100 and mini-javelin, Daina Shilts in the 4x100, 100m and running long jump, Connor Breitung in the 4x100, Bo Fravert in the shot put and an alternate in the 4x100 and Kolin Schmitz in the 4x100 and running long jump.
