UW-Whitewater (Baseball) And UW-Oshkosh (Softball) Advance To World Series

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh posted victories of 3-1 and 5-2 over defending national champion Trine University (Ind.) last Friday, to secure a trip to the NCAA Division III Softball World Series. UW-Oshkosh (44-5) will make its third trip in program history – and second in the last four seasons - to the national finals. The finals, hosted by East Texas Baptist University, will be held May 30-June 5 at Bell Park at Taylor Field in Marshall, Texas. The No. 12-ranked Titans will face No. 8-ranked Virginia Wesleyan University (40-8) in their first game at the World Series on Thursday. UW-Oshkosh and Virginia Wesleyan are joined in their World Series bracket by Tufts University (Mass.) (38-8) and Linfield College (Ore.) (48-2).
Bellhaven University (Miss.) (42-7), Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) (40-7), East Texas Baptist University (39-2) and Rowan University (N.J.) (39-8) are featured in the other bracket of the NCAA Championship.

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Baseball World Series with two wins over UW-La Crosse in the Super Regional on Saturday. UW-Whitewater (40-9) will make its eighth World Series appearance and first since 2016. Pool Play double-elimination action in this year’s championship will take place at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio, May 31-June 6.
