Area College Track Athletes Earn All-America Honors

Several area college track athletes earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field finals at Virginia Beach:

Women:

Hannah Zastrow (Spencer), competing for UW-Stout...second in the 60-hurdles while Leah Zastrow (Spencer), also competing for UW-Stout...fourth in the pole vault

Men:

Caden Pearce and Addison Hill (Marshfield), competing for UW-LaCrosse, were on the 1600-relay team which placed second while Josiah Ziebell (Neillsville), competing for UW-Eau Claire, was part of the 1600-relay which placed sixth

The top 8 in each event earned All-America recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won its second straight NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship.  In addition, four WIAC programs finished in first, second, third and fourth-place in the standings. This marks the first time a single conference has swept the top four spots at a national meet in any division.  UW-Eau Claire placed second, UW-Oshkosh third and UW-Whitewater fourth.
