Neillsville Boys Golf Team Is Sectional Champs And Heading To State!

The Neillsville boys golf team won the Division 3 Cadott Sectional on Tuesday and is heading to the State Boys Golf Tournament next Monday and Tuesday in Kohler.

The Warriors shot a team score of 345, which was six strokes better than Ladysmith and Glenwood City who tied for second at 351.  Glenwood City defeated Ladysmith in the tie breaker to also advance to State.  

Tucker Johnson and Jonah Czarnicki led Neillsville, both shooting 81's which tied for 2nd place overall.  Simon Cole of Ladysmith was the individual medalist, shooting a 78.  Neillsville's Isaac Berger shot an 89, Andrew Brown a 94 and Mark Jorgensen a 124.  

Neillsville will be making their first trip to State as a team since 1998.  They will participate in the Division 3 field at the State Boys Golf Tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Blackwolf Run - Meadows Course in Kohler, Wis.
