Neillsville's Hayes And Hoeser Combine For No-Hitter/Other Area Scores

The Neillsville Warrior baseball team got their season underway with a bang on Monday at Henry Lukes Baseball Field, as they beat the Thorp Cardinals 10-0 in six innings on a combined no-hitter by Sam Hayes and Andrew Hoeser.  Hayes pitched the first 4 innings allowing no runs on no hits while striking out 9 and walking 3.  Hoeser then came on in the 5th inning and he allowed no runs on no hits while striking out 4 and walking 2 in his 2 innings of work.   Hayes also shined at the plate, going 2 for 2 with an RBI and 3 runs scored.  Reese McDonald had one of the Warriors 6 hits in the game and he also scored 2 runs.  Thorp pitchers issued 13 walks in the game.
