Luepke To Miss Remainder Of Season
Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 -- 12:41 PM
Former Spencer High School football standout Hunter Luepke will not play for the remainder of this season for the North Dakota State football team.
Hunter suffered a shoulder injury in a game against Southern Illinois last month. A second opinion by doctors indicates that Hunter will need surgery and extensive rehabilitation on the shoulder. That means Hunter will miss the rest of the North Dakota State games in the FCS playoffs.
Hunter has also been invited to participate in the Senior Bowl game at Mobile, Alabama on February 4, which will be viewed by many NFL scouts. His appearance in that game may also be in jeopardy.
Hunter ran for 621 yards and nine touchdowns for North Dakota State this season, and also caught 14 passes for 196 yards and four scores.
He was named the outstanding player in last season’s FCS championship game, in which North Dakota State beat Montana State 38-10.
