Hensel Is The Wisconsin Dairy Athlete of the Month

Madeline Hensel, a varsity football player and track & field star from Pittsville, is being recognized as the latest Wisconsin Dairy Athlete of the Month for November.  The Dairy Athlete of the Month program is sponsored by WisSports.net in partnership with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin. They plan to recognize high school student-athletes who are actively involved on a Wisconsin dairy farm and participate in at least one WIAA-sanctioned varsity sport.

Madeline is the first female to score as a varsity football player in Pittsville High School history. She also placed at the track and field conference championship in shot put. And she is also a goal keeper and captain for the Eau Claire United Soccer league.

Hensel owns a small herd of Red & White Holsteins at Sunsett Dairy in Pittsville and Dorsland Farms near Junction City. She also works for Memory Lane Farm in Marshfield as a youth apprentice, which is a faith-based non-profit providing mentoring, agriculture/educational camps, opportunities for foster and kinship families, social events, and more.

As a senior at Pittsville, Madeline serves as president of her class and is a representative on the student council. She is also active in National Honor Society, FFA, FCCLA and FBLA. And she is currently serving as the 2022 Wisconsin Holstein Association Princess.
