Varsho Is A National League Gold Glove Finalist

Marshfield’s Dauton Varsho is a finalist for a National League Gold Glove award for 2022. 

Daulton is one of three candidates for the Gold Glove award in right field, along with Mookie Betts of Los Angeles and Juan Soto of Washington and San Diego. 

Daulton played 114 games in the outfield for the Diamondbacks this season, and had 271 putouts, eight assists and only three errors, for a fielding percentage of .989.  Daulton also caught 31 games for Arizona.  At the plate this season, Daulton hit .235, with 27 home runs and 74 rbis. 

This year’s Gold Glove winners will be announced on November 1, prior to Game Four of the World Series.
