High School Sports for Saturday August 27th

Area high school volleyball teams are starting their seasons today with some multi team tournaments.

The Neillsville Warriors Volleyball team will be hosting a varsity invitational at the fieldhouse today. Area teams participating include Gilmanton, Greenwood, Independence, Mondovi and Pittsville. Action gets underway at 9 am.

Melrose-Mindoro, Nekoosa, Osseo-Fairchild, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, and Alma Center Lincoln are among the teams at the Black River Falls Invitational today.

Altoona, Athens, Cadott, Colby, Columbus Catholic Schools, Chippewa Falls McDonell, Medford, Mosinee, Eau Claire Regis, and Stevens Point  are among the teams at the Menomonie Invitational today.

Fall Creek, Northland Lutheran, Phillips, Rib Lake, Spencer, Stratford and Thorp are participating in the Marathon Invitational.

Auburndale will be among the teams competing at the Green Bay East Invitational.

Abbotsford will be cometing at the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Invitational today.

In area High School Cross Country:

Augusta and Eau Claire Regis will be at the Eau Claire Wells Invitational.
