Schmitz & Fravert Compete At Special Olympics of Wisconsin State Games

Over 1,100 athletes showed up to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin State games at Carroll University in Waukesha this weekend along with their families, friends, over 300 coaches & over 600 volunteers! 

Neillsville’s own Olympic Gold Medalist, Daina Shilts was the co-emcee for the Opening Ceremonies.    This was the 50th Anniversary Celebration Games. 

Kolin Schmitz of Neillsville finished 1st in his division in the 200m run on Saturday and took 1st in the 100m run on Sunday!  Also on Sunday, Bo Fravert from Loyal took first in the shot put.
