Fall Creek Wins Cloverbelt Boys Basketball Championship

The Fall Creek Cricket boys basketball team used a big second half to comeback to beat Columbus Catholic 86-85 in the 1st Place Crossover Playoff game on Saturday in Neillsville.  The Crickets trailed 52-36 at the half as Columbus Catholic connected on 11 three pointers in the half, led by Charlie Moore who had five 3's.  Fall Creek came back in the second half thanks in part to their inside game, featuring Soren Johnson and Bo Vollrath, who combined for 22 of the team's 50 second half points.   Columbus Catholic's Emmitt Konieczny led all scorers with 24 points.  Johnson led Fall Creek with 23.  

In the 2nd Place Crossover Playoff,  Stanley-Boyd had 4 players score in double figures, led by Brady Potaczek's 17 pts,  as they downed Neillsville 58-53.  The Warriors Andrew Brown led all scorers with a game high 27 points.
