Columbus Catholic Wins ECC Title/Other Tuesday Scores

The Columbus Catholic Dons used the 3 pointer as their weapon in downing the Neillsville Warriors on Monday 74-49 to win the Eastern Cloverbelt Conference title.   The Dons made 15 three's in the game led by sophomore Emmitt Konieczny who made five 3-pointers on his way to a game high 26 points.  Sam Wilczek connected on 4 three's and finished with 21 points, Blake Jakobi also had 5 three-pointers and 15 points.  Neillsville was within 5 points at 48-43 with 7:30 to go, but it was all Columbus Catholic the rest of the way, outscoring the Warriors 26-6 for the win.

Neillsville was led by Mason Roenz who had 16 points.  Alex Roman had three 3-pointers for 9 points.  Leading scorer, Andrew Brown was held to just 7 points as the Dons defense had a man on him the whole game.
