Opelt Leads Neillsville Over Osseo-Fairchild/Loyal Tops Fall Creek

Bella Opelt had 24 points to lead Neillsville to a 47-44 overtime win over Osseo-Fairchild in the 1st Place Basketball Crossover Playoff on Saturday night. Loyal topped Fall Creek 44-39 in the 2nd Place game.The Hounds were led by Remi Geiger who scored 18 points. Loyal converted on 14 of 18 free throws in the second half. They improved to 18-4 with the win.
Neillsville's Bella Opelt hit a 3 pointer with 4 seconds left in regulation to send the 1st Place Crossover Playoff vs Osseo-Fairchild to overtime where the Warriors were able to hang on for a 47-44 win. Opelt finished with a game high 24 points, 18 of those coming in the second half and overtime. Brooke McCune led the Thunder with 20 points. Neillsville improved to 20-2 on the season.
