Chapparals Fall In Playoffs

The Marshfield Chaparrals were a part of the Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs this weekend in Altoona.The Chaparrals beat the Spring Valley Hawks 5-4 on Saturday. It was the Chaps first playoff game since joining the Wisconsin Baseball Association in 2013. Nate McDonald of Neillsville was 4×5, HR, 2 RBIs.
Yesterday, Marshfield was shut out by the Osseo Merchants 6-0. That game featured 4 former Neillsville High School teammates in Neal and Nolan Matson, who play for Osseo and McDonald and Jason Kurth who play for Marshfield.
Osseo now moves on to play in the WBA State Finals this weekend.
