Dads & Lads Award Picnic Held

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their annual Dads & Lads Award Picnic on Thursday, July 11th following the players final summer game.All boys and girls received certificates for their participation. Teams and their honored players included:
Hurricanes: Wesley & Sydney Johnson, Grayson Boe, Axel Kruschke, Ezra Allard, Anthony Canfield, Lylah & Brennan Wilson
Tigers: Sawyer Hoppa, Ryker, Garret & Bella Ehlen, Grant Harley, Emma Spencer, Benny Davis & Alayna Calkins
Huskies: Easton Ehlers, Drew Fitzl, Dempsey Pierce, Gavin Simpson, Tripp Laufenberg, Brielle Erickson, Morgan & Abigail Begert
Cowboys: Blake Knudsen, Brayden Kodl, Gordy & Gerald Gaier, Mya Gross, Blake McDonald, Ben Mathis & Augie Anderson
Wildcats: Jase Johnson, Ryan Ystad, Jett Hemp, Eli Larsen, Tyra Wuethrich, Liam & Logan Friemoth & Jordan Waters
Crimson Tide: Myles Waltemate, Blake Morrell, Tuff Calkins, Rylen Hart, Miles Glassbrenner, Halo Schultz, Ashton Walk & Angela Paine
Following the ceremony rootbeer floats donated by the Neillsville A&W was enjoyed by all.
Dads and Lads is a baseball program for 6 year old boys and girls which stresses parental involvement and concentrates on the fundamentals of the sport with no emphasis on winning and losing.
