Varsho In MLB All-Star Futures Game

Daulton Varsho, a 2014 graduate of Marshfield High School and a player in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, took part in the MLB All-Star Futures Game on Sunday at Progressive Field in Cleveland.The game which features some of the top prospects from each of the Major League teams, is part of the three-day of activities leading up to tomorrow’s Major League All-Star Game.
Varsho, who is a catcher for the Jackson (Miss.) Generals, a Class AA team in Arizona’s minor leagues, played for the National League team at the Futures Game. Daulton went 0-for-3 as the NL’s designated hitter in the game, which ended after eight innings a 2-2 tie.
