Neillsville And Greenwood End Seasons At Sectionals

The Neillsville and Greenwood baseball teams saw their seasons come to end at Sectional Semi-Finals on Tuesday.The Warriors were beaten by Boyceville at the Chippewa Falls Sectional Semi-Final 2-0. Both managed just 2 hits, but one of those was a triple, which led to a 1st inning run for the Bulldogs and three walks in the 2nd inning by Neillsville led to the other run. Neillsville ends their season at 15-8.
Greenwood had a late lead but fell to Athens 6-4 at the Crivitz Sectional. Athens would go on to win the Sectional Final and advances to State for the second straight season.
Stratford also advanced to State, winning the Crandon Sectional Final 4-3 over St. Mary Catholic. It's the Tigers first trip to State Baseball since 1989.
