“29th Annual” Adult Women’s Volleyball Tournament Results

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their “29th Annual” Adult Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, March 23rd at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Thirteen teams competed in the women’s tourney with “Sister Act” of Withee being crowned the champion. Members of their team included; Anna & Aleyna Goerlitz, Paige Wirkus, Lindsay Gorman and Taylor Gotz.
Placing second was “2 Legit 2 Hit” of Onalaska, with “I’d Rather Be Eating” of Chippewa Falls placing third and “Nipps” from Altoona rounding out the top four. Also competing in the upper bracket were: “Spiked Punch“of Neillsville whose team members included: Kathy Luchterhand, Mckenzie Trunkel, Sammie & Kendie Pfeiffer, Bailey Schumacher and Louise Voss. Rounding out the upper division were: “Pounding V” of Chippewa Falls, “Beaver Queens” of Eau Claire and “White Chicks” of Baraboo.
In the consolation bracket, “Team Mediocre” of Madison captured the championship with a victory over “Setting Ducks” of Neillsville. Members of the local squad included: Tia Gross, Tabitha Rogney, Kayla Harder, Christina Maley, Caitlin Gregorich and Lexi Opelt. Rounding out the bracket were: “Net Ninja’s” of Athens, “Shila’s Team” of Black River Falls and “Financial Strategies” of Stratford.
The Rec. Dept. would like to thank Drippy Creek Saloon, Strike Time Lanes/Hide Out II, Green Lantern and Brickyard Bar & Grill, who donated complimentary beverages to all the teams.
