Cappadora's 19 pts Leads Neillsville Win

Senior Sam Cappadora poured in a game high 19 points leading the Neillsville girls basketball team to a 57-33 Eastern Cloverbelt Conference win over Loyal on Monday night.The Warriors got out to an early lead and used a strong defense that forced the Greyhounds into turnovers to increase the lead to 35-20 at the half. Jaden Barth led the Warriors with 8 first half points while Remi Geiger had 9 points to lead Loyal.
In the second half, Cappadora had the hot hand, scoring 13 of her 19 points including three 3-pointers. Neillsville outscored Loyal 22-13 in the second half. Geiger was held to just 2 points in the second half to finish with a team high 11 points.
Neillsville improves to 10-3 in the ECC and 14-3 overall while Loyal falls to 8-4 in the ECC and 12-5 overall.
