Greenwood Approves Transition to 8-Player Football for 2020 Season

On Monday, the Greenwood school board approved the transition to 8-player football for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The 2019 season will still be 11-player football.Gilman will also be transiitioning to 8-player football in 2020, joining Newman Catholic and Alma Center Lincoln in our area.
There will be 42 8-player football teams in the state in 2019 and that number increases to 49 statewide in 2020.
